Duck Scarf

Coming to you from Portland

This is the scarf I made Emily for Christmas. The yarn was kind of expensive, but the yellow felt was only 3/$1.00. After I knit the scarf, I hand drew the letters for Oregon and a little duck shape into the felt. Then I cut them out and sewed them onto the scarf using the left over yarn. I puposely used a vsiable stitch so it would look homemade, but it also kind of looks like it was done by a child. It didn't help that I sewed them on crooked. I used a wide needle, because I like when scarves are stretchy and not too stiff. However, for this particular project, a stiff scarf probably would have aided in sewing the letters on. It still worked out though - those letters aren't going anywhere.
